Christmas Once Again
It is Christmas once again,
in my little island town.
Festivities will soon begin.
Holiday sights, all around.
Wreaths take their place on the front door.
Candles in windows softly glow.
Store fronts decorated, ceiling to floor.
Safely secured, winter winds will blow.
Christmas carols, are faintly heard.
Adding a bit of good cheer.
Bright red, the holiday color preferred.
Displayed by the big bow at the end of a pier.
You see cheerful smiles, everywhere.
Warming hearts on a winter's day.
A feeling that you want to share.
To all you pass along the way.
Holidays are special, wherever you are.
It is up to you to make them that way.
All hearts together, near or far.
Celebrate, it is Christmas Day!
