Christmas Night
Christmas night is a blissful eve
Yes it was more fun to give then receive
Church is over the congregation leaves
Merry Christmas rings out with joyful glee
The mistletoe is drooping the Yule log is ash
All the pretty wrappings are ripped into trash
Presents were given, stockings are down
The Christmas tree glows with a star for a crown
Laughter and singing, playing and fun
Wonderful Christmas so slow to come
Children happy parents glad its done
Blessed Christmas the birth of God's Son
Exhausted from this day of joy
Children sleep with their new favorite toy
Parents worn out leave the house a mess
There's always the day after Christmas
Nothing as tasty is that Christmas feast
Nothing as jolly as those holiday treats
Nothing like sweet memories to keep
Nothing like Christmas night for deep sleep
The Reindeer have eaten and sleep on fresh hay
For good Ole Saint Nick that was quite a day
Christmas night and pray for peace
Let the joy of Christmas everyday be released
