Chris (Acw)
What was it you wanted from me anyway
And shall I smile and say hello today
And pass you by as if we never were here
My eyes mist looking at stars, there's no tear.
What would I want to cry for anyway
Dessicated by time and too inert to play
What would I do with old age and misery
Sometimes in failure I find God's beauty
So shall like a shining symbol of human lies
Tell you congratulations now? Love sighs
To lose, and I nonchalant will fare no worse
Nothing in my destiny did your lost reverse
It is the perpetual "what if" and "if only"
That will not let go, I am driven crazy
By this penchant to possess what others reap
From refuse, I miss what i did not try to keep.
