Space Cadet an I were talking chores, laundry. Just for fun we mentioned writing a poem about it. This one is mine :)

Spin, twirl, they swirl Mesmerized I sit And watch colours mix, match.... hopefully Here is that sock, it gapes and screams silenced by the brief strangled by failed shirr It purrs, white one-eyed cat alike (I sneeze, washing-powder allergy.) To fall asleep so soothingly lulled to oblivion, nakedly in wait for my beloved belongings. *** May 23, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Hi I am speaking from your future visiting your past ( here jangly mystery music in background), I hate and loathe doing laundry but your poem has given me a slightly shifted view. I guess I could pretend I am at a ball. Thank you have to go and put on my ball gown. I'm doing the wash today.

Great description of the washer...spinning and watching the "colours mix". Love that! And, we do love our siestas, don't we? No matter where or when...like the air conditioner luls me to sleep.

oh cute humorous laundry day Darren ... You know washing machines seem to eat socks, it's the only explanation for the ones we never see again :) :)

Never knew laundry to bring a smile as much as your poem does! :) My washing machine eats socks and sometimes the sound of the dryer is like stampeding elephants! That was really fun Darren :D

This was great my friend, it really made me smile. You have made the tedious and monotonous job of doing the laundry sound almost (almost) fun. :)

Hehe Chris :) almost is the right word. The only fun thing for me when I have to stay in bed, is that I don't have to do the laundry \o/

Hello Penguin. Now this was fun playful and a feel good entry. It brings a smile. But now Penguin didn't the maid ever tell you not to mix colors (lol). Just kidding Darren. This entry was upbeat and your presentation is fabulous. Have a wonderful afternoon.

I think you should do laundry here instead of me, Lisa, since you seem to know everything about colours ;) You too, have a great and relaxed day my friend!

:) My sister hangs the clothes on the clothes line when the weather is good (like now), otherwise I use the dryer. Thanks Connie, also for the 7 :)

For me the washing machine is a real blessing. When I was young and we had the ringer type washing machine I remember as a child getting my fingers caught in the ringer and I was up to my elbow before I got help. Very painful, and lucky it didn't break my bones. Then the clothes line , no dryer. Count your blessings my young friend. I feel thankful every time I wash a load. I enjoyed your cute poem with one-eyed cat Darren. : ) 7
