Choose Life and Health

Redbud Tree has few buds open Contrasted against fanbrush clouds Gentle breeze stirs limbs that house wren On distant hill hospital like shroud The van for funeral home stops At a near stop sign sickness__death Constant reminders around drops See life many cars going in one breath Today I would choose life and health To live each moment cherish it We don't know if will be last breath See life our life leaving in transit For these are the makings of life There is good on many days_years Then some bad will darken or strife Good is just around bend so dry tears

Hi Sara, enjoy life as it comes for one does know what this fleeting life holds for one. Great, it has been like ages i have heard from you, i hope everything is okay. Your health most especially. I am glad to know you as a poet still dancing to the drums of creative dawn till forever the twinkle encore of twilight fades.

Sara, when I see funeral processions, they always remind me how short and precious life is. Such a moving poem you created! Love, Carolyn
