Indeed, I still love all those things in your heartwarming poem, we're both still little kids at heart, my inspiring poetry sis! When I'm out walking, I still think; "I can climb that tree or jump that fence if I (really) wanted too" lol!! I hope my mind never fully grows up haha! My Dearest Rhyme Time Friend, what a joy it is to have a poetry sis to ride on cloud ships, build tree houses, climb trees, jump fences - wish on stars with as little kids at heart jumping for joy! I have decided I'm not growing up until I'm at least 95 then I want high-heeled tennies and drive my golf cart in the bicycle lane with the two us laughing down the lane! Thank you for your eloquent and elegant words of congratulations - words to put in a treasure box like seashells, flat stones and pressed rose petals. I don't think either one of us will ever outgrow our little kid at heart dear poetry sis! Sending you blessings of the heart on the first evening star!

Even when we become adults, there is a child hiding within each one of us ! Every time we remember the innocent days of fun and frolic, we wish ardently if we could retrace our steps back into those days! Making tree houses has been our favorite game too ! You are so right when you say there is a child still yearning to play in every adult - to play hide and seek with us - and our memories of the fun times of childhood really do help to refresh and renew our inner child! It is so sad to see grownups ignore that playful spirit in them thinking that life has to be so serious! The theme of this contest has sparked so many different memories in people. When I thought about writing on childhood nostalgia I started to make a list to include in the tanka. Well...I soon discovered I would have to write several tankas to include everything on my list!
