James, I have heard of down-feathered pillows in which the feathers were plucked from a goose, However I've never heard of plucking the feathers from the chicken to make a soft bed... The visuals of one running around a barnyard trying to not only catch but pluck the chicken to boot is incredible :-) thank you for sharing the write my friend... Well, this is short and clever, James. My mom used to have feather pillows, but I'm not sure what kind of bird they'd come from....they were picky and scratchy. A whole bed like that, would have been scary? :) This makes me smile....thanks for the smile James...best to you...Mikki

The good old feather bed - Don't hear much about them any more - now it's all memory foam and things like that - Nice to remember the simpler times - God Bless James
