Chicago Summer Nights
Oh, those Midwest, glorious,
firefly nights.
Peaceful, mild, warm winds,
kiss your cheek.
The Chicago River, utterly so
smoothly flowing.
Reflecting lights on its architecture,
totally entrancing.
It's biggest building, alabaster white,
Outstanding in the inky moonlight.
Bejeweled boats, cast rainbows of
color, it's overwhelming.
Memory paintings of my summer's past.
Secret, soft kisses.
Warm kisses in cars, what a blast!
