Chicago Bears Pillow

"CHICAGO BEARS PILLOW"

tonight I lay on my Chicago Bears pillow

a reminder of another year of my life
gone.
a reminder of the woman who gave me
these pillows as a birthday gift.
a reminder that these were given by a
Dallas Cowboys fan.

and with them
every moment we smoked our cigarettes
talked
laughed
argued
drank and
cried.

and with them
the greatest lesson I can give anyone
about life:

it goes on.

tonight I lay on my Chicago Bears pillow
tonight she sleeps as a Dallas Cowboys fan
loving a Chicago Bears man.

the NFL would not approve.

Ha...I have a friend who's a Bears fan who dates a girl from Dallas... Luckily they don't face each other often
