Notes About The Poem

I purchased some 'cherry lips' from an old fashioned sweet shop at home .. the sweets have a strange taste rather like a very cheap scent and it was great to reminisce eating them again after many years and I also purchased some 'floral gums' which were also scented... I wonder if any Brits remember them from their childhood.

Cherry Lips

Her scent is so alluring
as she hits on a guy in a bar.
Cherry ripe kisses so adoring -
with his cash she could go far.
Scarlet talons now are clawing
at his back as they tumble into bed.
But when he takes her stockings off...
he discovers she's a he instead!

Oopsie! Hey babe take a walk on the wild side ;) Ha, made me laugh out loud. Reminded me of Amy Winehouse lyrics. "With a pickup that puts you to shame And Cherry is her name" :)

Never trust a woman whose lips and nails are painted the color of blood. This is such a typically funny ending for a "Jan" write. ;-)

I don't think I have ever worn red lipstick and as for my nails lol they get a coat of clear once in a blue moon I tend to do mum's not fuss over mine:-) hugs Jan xx

The cherry lips sweets in the jar are a crescent shape - the jelly lips I found to go with the poem lol:-) If you have never tasted cherry lips they have a soapy type scent to them it's difficult to describe lol - once tasted never forgotten:-) hugs jan xx

Oh did they have them in Malta Charma lol - if someone hasn't tasted them it is difficult to explain the cheap scent they have. I wrote the poem before we came away and e mailed it to myself so I could post it lol:-) hugs to all:-) Jan xx
