Filling my lungs with my first breath starts my cycle of life and death. And startled by life's rakish sounds, my beating heart rapidly pounds. A cool breeze imbues such pleasure it's impossible to measure. And yet, my gaze goes unbroken, my astonishment unspoken. A plethora of sounds abound within this world that I just found. And upon opening my eyes, anxiety fuels my cries. I am hushed by a voice I know, and tears slow to an ebbing flow. I heard it from within the womb as I squirmed and kicked to make room. The voice of my mother-to-be oft sang a lullaby to me. So I close my droopy eyes tight, yawn, and chase sleep into the night.

Other than your opening two lines, This is my favourite stanza "I’m hushed by a sweet sound I know and tears slow to an ebbing flow. For it was heard while in the womb singing soft as I kicked for room."
