Changing the Course of Fate
No glamor, no riches or happiness
I foresee in my future and often
I asked myself with truthfulness
If I had tried and climbed over that gate
I could have changed the course of fate,
and living life I carried his dream
inside until all came crushing down...
even in night dreams stars seemed to gleam!
Nothing was given to me and in those
times of need I used some resources I had
trusting in prayer and waited to see roses
bloom along the path that once was sunless...
did anyone ever ask me if I was afraid?
A house built with stroms in mind will withstand
winter storms and summer storms on an open ranch
I was that one being lashed by the strongest wind
and stood firm withouth being shifted a single inch.
