My Dearest Rhyme Time Friend, your poetic pen excels in this sumptuous string seasonal haiku! The graceful transition from late summer to autumn comes alive in splendid alliteration and sensory imagery that tantalizes the skin, tastebuds, eyes, but most of all, my imagination. I loved “sleepy sunbeams stretch their legs” -wow! Your poetic pen shines brighter than the sunbeams’ glow on golden pears, my sweet poetry sis! Your artistry continues to amaze me. Belated congratulations too! Warmest wishes sent on “shadows riding mists”.. ~Susan

What a great haiku series, Sam, a walkoff game winner! I love all your imagery in this segue of waning summer into waxing fall, a reader can see how much you love the season. So many delightful lines but "scarlet seeps into green leaves" and "sleepy sunbeams stretch their legs" are faves for me. Congrats for being ranked #2 on BNP list, definitely a Fav for me! Our teams may be watching the Fall Classic from home but at least Big Bad Blue is too! Autumn blessings to you, dear friend ~ John

How rhythmic is this poem, the way you’ve painted imagery and how it flows is so stunning. I love “ summer days shiver” how deep is that and poetic, conveys so much and drew me right in. “Sleepy sunbeams stretch their legs” so clever and creative! I love that. “ scarlet seeps into green leaves” love that the way youv written in such a descriptive manner is impressive. “ autumn breath chills nights” brilliant! Very well crafted and delivered. I always love your artistic ways of expressing.

Hi Inky! I am so humbled by your beautiful feedback! Thank you! I have learned so much here on the soup and had the privilege of reading beautiful writings like yours that continue to inspire me! Tom C. taught me to write haiku strings and I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring this poetic form with its emphasis on imagery and personification. Haiku has such a distinct lyrical cadence. It sings its own kind of music! Words are our BFFs! Thank you again for your perceptive analysis! Blessings of autumn joy to you!
