Change Without Revolution
Revolution began when the freedom ended
Quietly seething in bondage to unhappiness
Somehow their lives became blended
But blending brought aimlessness
Change without revolution
When locked in such a rut
Is it possible to get one's attention
Even the gray matter is stuck
A cause could change the situation
Change of scene a way to renew
An affair could release one in the aggravation
But would anything really renew you
How can I refresh my life
Am I so near death that there is no hope
Trapped aimlessly going on to the grave
Doing the same empty things day after day
God is opening his hand to me
He gives me hope
A light at the end of the tunnel I see
I hope that isn't the train in the shadow
