"change"

“Change” Did you ever tell your self, “A change is going to come”? A change has come and everything is different. Many things I wanted and need; All the things that made me bleed; They’re not so important anymore. I’m done collecting. That’s what I’ve been doing; Collecting personality; All the things that made me-me; I’ve filled my cart; I need no more. Everything is packed in my ditty bag; Up on my back; I’m ready; I’m watching; Watching every turn, every rock; Every tick that moves the clock; It may be the last but I’m living. It’s still a long road; I can’t see the end; I see blue in the distance; maybe it’s the ocean. Maybe it’s the place where earth ends; That place where you soar through the sky with the winds; And the sins of the past are soon forgiven. The change was always here; Apparently I was waiting to catch up to it. A notice in a rain storm; a message in the night A gripping in your stomach; a feeling things aren’t right. I didn’t hear it; have you heard yours? The harder I lived the harder it was to get along; But there really wasn’t anything not right. I did what I did; I lived like I lived; And change was good I’m sure.
