Certainty

I felt safe with you. Of that, you always made certain. You were my world, my comfort, My oasis, and my protection. I was "Daddy's little girl," You, were my Daddy. The times we'd venture to the park, Just the two of us, Bring treasured memories Locked deep within my being forever, Of feeling a soft breeze flow wildly through my golden hair As I'd tightly grip the swing's rusty chains. You'd gently nudge my back, satisfying my childish wants of flying high like the eagles, With their span of gorgeous glittering wings and their awe inspiring ways of gliding, smoothly through a sea of open air. Such a calming, soothing inspiration to me. This made me feel special, worth while, Of that you always made certain. And because of that, I'll be sure to cherish my memories of you, Forever, with certainty.
