Cast A Long Shadow There he stood, neath the crescent moon, until He moved, then I saw the fullness of it, A massive man of unknown height did sit, All stared as he sat right by one sat still. His pure girth did hold such empowerment, Even from his side, overwhelmed me so, My dreams shattered to a nightmarish woe, And screams of utter fright was such torment. Still, I kept an honorable distance, From trouble, who caused suffering and pain, For what reasons they'd be for him attain, His freedom wherein he claimed innocence. He instills in me such a fright, yet calm, Won out, that fateful moment, with a smile, Rendered by a giant to a dwarf child, "My name's Lucy, what's yours", with outstretched palm. 2019 September 09 *3rd Place* Pick A Title, Vol 9 - Enclosed Rhyme ~~Edward Ibeh #1.
