Carry Us Home
Oh squeeze those fine emotions you possess
Those emotions that flow within you and around you,
Extract your essence into a fine elixir,
So that I may drink,
So that my parched life be made well
I tell myself, whisper it to the wind
That I must, that I will
Fondle each misery with strength
And caress each known insignia with grace
That I will, that I cherish
Each swell of our heart’s desire
With the understanding and peace of a pacifist
Oh how resolved I am when such fires rise
That in that deep well of agony,
I see you from above,
Carrying such adoration loyally,
To find your strong arms holding it all,
Pouring upon me your dreams,
As I, refreshed, relinquish realities
I vow to the seas beyond
That I must, that I will
Love you for eternity
With a might that surpasses the cruelest of deaths
The tragic endings endured with our sensuous beginnings
That I will,
Forever to and after
Rise from this well,
With the very elixir you pour so passionately
