Careless Love

This day the morning has not spoken
Cradled in earthly arms life remains still,
The great peace the east promised broken

After the raging fire an ice age chill,
The sky a blanket of radiation
Beyond logic a universal kill.

God looks down upon his creation,
History briefs many warnings of war
While a search in vain for mediation,

No one left to pray pass on cultural lore
This the perfect place for evolution
Yet there were idiots that knew the score.

God moves on this world without solution
Rampant intelligence a gift no more
Only species with no agenda no pollution

Will inherit the new era and spore.

Hi Harry, firstly, I wish you good luck in the Terza Rima contest with this excellent write. It reads like a winner to me, Harry. I love the depth of this piece, when will we understand what we are doing TO OUR WORLD? Will we understand too late? Many are the questions my friend, so few answers. Have a wonderful Sunday. Your friend ..... Mike. A fave.

You write quite honestly, my dear Harry, and the truth is very clear in your words. While it may be too late to save Earth, we nonetheless owe it to her to treat her with the reverence she deserves. The situation is becoming increasingly challenging. Many have allowed greed to cloud their judgment, while others have allowed themselves to be hypnotized by the thoughtless. Best wishes

It is unfathomable that so many cannot see what is right in front of them. Greed rules their minds while others are brainwashed by the senseless. Our earth deserves the respect she needs before it is too late. Your poem expresses well the dire straights we are in Harry. Wonderfully written. Blessings xxoo

Harry your words ring abundant Truth my friend. We have selfishly taken for granted this great earth we call home. Im sure the Lord is thinking about coming back soon. It is getting extreemly bad. Hope you are well my friend and your spirit is good. I am aware of all the nonsense that the Government is pushing on the great Australian people. God bless you Harry and thank you for sharing this winning piece of literature...

We have no thought for the safety of the world we live in nor any concern for the posterity. We keep on polluting the home we live in with war and fire. We have to brace for the impact ! A profound and meaningful poem harry ! All the best!

Harry, just this Eve, I said to Jim,”Do you suppose that when the Bible says Jesus on the cross wept, it wasn’t like people say, that he thought the Father abandoned him, but because, being omnipotent, he was realizing that his death would not cause humanity to get its act together. Bravo for this poem. Xox

Right now, as "God looks down upon his creation". My heart breaks knowing that He is not happy. Your thoughts are tender and emotional, all at the same time. I am praying for our world, and those in it. Many wonderful blessings to you, my dear sweet friend. Hugs, Brandy

Wise words tend to fall upon deaf ears. God moves on this world without solution...When the Lord starts to move, mankind either stay where they are or move away from what the Lord is doing. Many wins Harry!
