Career Moves
For ten years she waitressed,
masseuse'd,
sold time-share apartments,
but she was tired
of being a corporate plaything,
At age thirty-five
she returned to ****.
Of course she could no longer
stand on her head
or arch her back like she used to -
it had been her ‘thing’,
but she could serve good coffee,
rub a strained neck or two,
or engage her partners
on the value of regular vacations
in-between camera takes.
