Mine never do, but they have it good outside; I average 7 to 9 cardinals each morning. Thanks for a tribute to these gorgeous creatures.

Well, I firmly believe that Deb visits me and checks on me now and then in the form of a cardinal. A cardinal even appeared while I was sitting on the front porch at my niece's in Florida. I think I told you that, after she died, a cardinal appeared on my front stoop every day for a month and watched me drinking my morning coffee. Then, she left. It was wonderful!

This haiku is beautifully written, Milt. I always pictured a cardinal as a red flame. The males are only red and the females are brown. They don't migrate in winter. They're my favorite bird by far. Well done, my friend.
