Capture the My Moments

The question is not whether you are an opportunist, many of whom are packaged with questionable motives. Such would not be great candidates for an important mission. Opportunists tend to wait for the moment that serves them best. The better question is, "Are you selfless, flexible, adaptable, available?" The moments will surely come, but will you capture the moment? To her astonishing amazement, she saw Him unexpectedly. She had no idea what her next God-ordered assignment would be. An unbelievable moment awaits her, but can she capture it? Like the wings of an eagle or a flashing light, moments are fleeting. Let's try to 'wear her shoes', picturing her and experiencing the moment and her assignment. She was certainly deeply moved and may have been a bit mesmerized, but not to the point of being hypnotized. No sooner than she can collect herself and take in all this supernaturalness, Jesus gives her a task. Jesus said to Mary, "Go and tell my disciples". "Me, who am I to be a bearer of such unbelievable good news?" It reminds me of the infamous movie line, "You talking to me?" She saw the resurrected face no one else had ever seen. She knew him personally, and He called her by name. She heard the voice of the crucified one. The feeling of such exhilaration must have been overwhelming. Imagine the 'off the scales heart beats' of a thousand emotions. And away she went. "OMG, I must be crazy! Who will believe me? OMG, should I go back to ascertain what I think I saw and heard?" There is no recourse. 'The moment has captured her because she was there'. She captured the 'My Moment' because the moment was there, designed for her. I tell you, there is so much boiling inside and speaking to me about Mary's Moment at the tomb. It is difficult to convey, and words to describe 'that feel' are falling short.
