Are you saying here that tis nice when parents bring their children along on their dates?

Terry, no, I am not saying that parents should take their children on their dates. LOL. Back when I my husband were young with children, we did not have the money to pay babysitters and did not have grandparents who were any help in that regards so we had to take them with us wherever we went. LOL. Sara K.

Valsa, luckily, he did not get hurt nor set the place on fire, Valsa. My husband grabbed the napkin put in a glass of water, and I blew out the candle and turned the dimmer up on the light and we were good to go. He never did that one again. LOL..Thank you for your concern and thoughtful review. Sara K.😄

Haha, that's funny! You will not believe these two things: (1) Reading this, this morning, reminds me of a dream I had last night, involving candlelight. I can't remember it at all, except that it had my brother in it, and that I had to blow out all of the candles in the house before I left, (2) When I was 18 years old, I actually accidentally lit a napkin on a candle in a restaurant.

Isn't it strange sometimes how happening like this connect us in some mysterious way. I don't think our son intentionally set the napkin on fire because he did not know what to do with it once it was burning. He was really young at that time when the incident happened. David, I have had some very unusual dreams since my husband passed and sometimes, I ponder about them. Thank you for the visit. Sara K.

An inventive and imaginitive perspective on the theme with a clever last line as bonus. Superb verse, Sara. Best of luck Howard

Nothing beats an intimate candlelit meal for two. That really solidifies a memory together remains a napkin engulfed in flames.

Yes, Lasaad. That (the fire) is the most I remember about it and also, they had mini juke box on the table that we could select some music we enjoyed and listen to in the privacy of our little room. LOL.. Thank you for the kind review. Sara K.

A candlelit dinner is a special time. A firey napkin now that's what makes the memory stay.

Got that right, Alison. I'll never forget it or at least I don't think I will ever forget it. It wasn't too funny when it was happening but later ~~yes it was funny. Sara K.

Ahahaha left me in stitches! So tragic! How the chaos unfolds with kids, their mischief and notorious nuances lol.. they sure take us on an adventure. My mum says that I was a very quiet and obedient one lol, i wonder why I didn't do anything crazy sometimes haha. Love this absolutely, Sara! Parents have to deal with so much around kids, because anything can happen anytime. Pleasure reading your words always, sending you light and best wishes ~

Hiya, yes, there was always something going on. There are many reasons some children are not as mischievous as others. One of my grandsons can't see clearly very far so very near sighted. He did not want to get very far from me except when he was at home where he knew his surroundings and sometimes in a store where he could seem to disappear. Glad that you got a good laugh. Sara K.

Funny. We were once sitting at a corner table. My grandson grabbed the salad bowl and through it at the wall. My son goes, Really?! And we say, “Really! lol

Kim, my husband grabbed the napkin, put it in a glass of water, I blew out the candle, and turn the dimmer switch up on the light so no candlelit romantic evening. Just back at home except I did not have to fix, serve, clean-up afterwards. Back then I had no idea that I had a heart condition, and I did not know it, nor my adoptive parents never knew it. I did not understand why I would be so tired, really exhausted after I finished the noon meal and would have to go sit an hour before I could clean up. Sara K.
