Can You?
Can you paint the entire Cosmos,
Or describe a single bright star,
Write a poem about the Universe,
Or catch a firefly in a jar?
Can you speak of love’s rapture,
Can you capture a storied sky,
Would you drop to both your knees,
And cry when the Angel’s cry?
Can you see grandeur all around,
And walk by natures side,
Can you float inside a moonbeam,
Or hold back a rising tide?
Not a one of these things,
I dare say I can do,
And I don’t believe in Angel’s,
Or fireflies, or you.
