Call Unto My Soul
Now I know why storms
call to me as they do.
Why the coyote song
reaches my soul, pulling me
outside to listen.
The hawks cry, always
stops me in my tracks, looking
skyward for a glimpse.
The sight of wild horses running,
takes away my breath.
I have found my way
through the years to the desert.
Where nothing is tamed.
Wild is the way of life.
So too are my heart and soul.
