Bytes and Bits

We were told that AI would soon take over
Can you hear the machines humming
There's no need to run for cover
Its digital heartbeat will be numbing

We are attached to the AI umbilical cord
It's our life support, our wifi pulse
As its motherboards hum on in accord
Its circuit boards are our impulse

Our fate is in its algorithms
We have lost the will to stop it
We are bit players in its movie
As it takes over bit by bit

If we should lose our jobs tomorrow
It will be AI that has taken it
It's programmed to cause both joy and sorrow
As it trolls us with its bytes and bits

Yep, we're becoming very dependent on machines.

AI has started intruding into every activity and every sphere of human life. It enhances the quality of life and equally deforms life. We are at a loss to distinguish the genuine from the fake. As you say, it brings joy and sorrow. Beautifully composed, dear Joseph.

Well-said, Joseph. AI, the new god of the cancel culture world. Like your title particularly; we have yet to discover what these Bytes and Bits will decode - as you say joy and sorrow.
