By the Streetlamp

on our way back from a trip, got down by the bright streetlamp. hunger raged, bowels rumbled. the inviting smell of food, wafted from nearby cafe. noodles and spicy meat fry, with a cup of steaming tea, titillated our palate.

This paints such a real and cozy scene—could almost smell the food and feel that late-night hunger hit! Simple moments like this make the best memories. Loved the warm, sensory vibe.

Great way to say that last line. I was hoping to get palate into my poem as well but never managed to. Congrats on the win

Awesome that you enjoyed the food and experience. My husband isn't one to try new places very often but sometimes it is fun to do. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K
