By August end, leaves curl on trees;
sun low- our long days, lose.
Deep shades of green fade in degrees
with brown and rusty hues.
Soon time to say goodbyes
to full days neath bright skies;
warm, moonlit, nighttime highs.
To Fall transcend
by August end.
