Love the twist Eileen! You take an old classic and make it fresh again. I was gonna say "sharp" but I wondered if that would sound cheesy *looks around*. PS. That picture goes excellent with your poem .... but I have to say it's somewhat disturbing. Lol.

clever write Eileen, as far as it's a thorn, no matter by what name it is called, it will hurt just the same, well penned

Hey....sweetie...I guess there is the beauty/beast.....rose/thorn in each one of us. Thanks for the visit. Hugs....

This would explain why the woman with the rose between her teeth is usually dancing......ouch!!!! Nice one Eileen, causes the wheels to slow and the gears to double clutch at its many insinuations.

The bard's philosophy is spot on. Of course...that's in the Bible. The leopard can't change its spots and all that. Thanks for v the visit.

HI, Nette. I've written a poem about the true Shakespearean rose reference from Romeo and Juliette. I guess the same is true for thorns as well....Thanks for stopping by. I'm on semester break...so I have some time to catch up. hugs
