By Amazing Grace
On the train track strolled a boy; a preacher's son was he.
A good and friendly child, he was happy as could be.
Wearing his new headphones, he was listening to a song.
Focusing on it alone, he loudly sang along.
As "Amazing Grace - how sweet the sound" he belted out,
something huge he did not hear was on its morning route.
A train it was! And as the boy walked that railroad track,
fast the train was coming, clickety-clickety-clack.
The child's tune would be drowned out before he even knew
that the train fast approaching was even in his view!
The engineer already had begun slowing down
before the boy turned and then stood rooted to the ground.
The train screeched, AND THEN IT STOPPED inches from his face!
The preacher's son had been saved by amazing grace.
