Buzzards and Flamingos

Restless buzzards on branches high spy flamingos with an envious eye frightfully aware of their ugly selves bemoaning their state they know so well. Fancy flamingos preen and sigh raising their stately heads to the sky watching the great, black buzzards above wishing to soar so freely, thereof. As buzzards clear the littered ground of rotting death and debris all around flamingos flock in serenity that portrays a unique synergy unveiled by light of day. Tis the grace and harmony of life to observe the yin and yang of opposite birds. Written on 1/9/2019

I love your idea of each envying the other despite their unique qualities, Laura. Maybe something for us humans to take on board!

You certainly rose to the challenge in creative fashion, Laura, and there is truth in your descriptions of these birds. People put likenesses of flamingos on their lawns here in Florida, but I've never seen any buzzards on display. Best wishes in the contest!

I hadn't thought about them each being jealous of the other...what a good idea! And I really like the ending couplet. Enjoyed this. Best of luck in the contest! :)
