Butterflies In Jar

i hear chirping beaks, my love, as you deeply sleep with your mouth ajar butterflies in jar - my abdomen aches with thoughts of sudden silence

Sweet on the outside, but the underlying thought is not. I like this one a lot Kim! :)

Must be metaphoric write as the butterflies will die in a jar. Blessings.

Kim, these two Sedoka poems are absolutely stunning. I am particularly captivated by the vivid imagery and intricate emotions conveyed in the second one.

I thought you had an upset stomach because you'd left butterflies in the jar without holes in the top and you realized they would suddenly go silent... no more fluttering after they die. Only you know how this one turns out. :-) Bill

Excelente are these lines. Yes, we do not want to think about our death or our loved ones. Thanks for sharing this very descriptive, emotive, and well-worded Sedoka. I appreciate the visit to my page. Sara

Set them free, Kim. Perhaps not a metaphorical write, but to me it is.
