But Let Her Fly
Rage flaring that pipe
Two doors and I’m knocking
Hello friend zone
Trying to get me to take a number
We can’t talk about it
Cause I’m trying to keep my cool head
Wince when you turn your back
But I keep groveling
I know how to self sooth
Punishment and I are old friends
Don’t need you serving it
I’m gonna brake all the glasses
I can hear you laughing
When you’re pretending
Like I have no power on you
But you’re sorely mistaken
I catch you smiling
The look that says you know
I broke the mold
And now you’re softening
Stop playing with sluggers
The butterfly is just waiting
She can make you feel
If you let her in
Thick in the air
I can’t even breath
It’s just hanging
As we sit ignoring it
When the sky is lit with fireflies
You’ll see her fly away
You can’t pull only when I turn away
It’s broken if you play that way
