Busy Lives
Kids today have hectic lives
With weekends super busy.
It’s certainly enough to get
A nana in a tizzy!
From chess to soccer to a fair
For autumn, at the school,
The hours are filled with much more
Than I’m used to, as a rule.
A birthday party follows
At a studio for art;
Each child will paint a canvas.
(How Picasso got his start?)
Then pizza and a birthday cake
(I’m sure with lots of frosting).
The kids seem happy, but to me,
This day is just exhausting!
There’s one more thing to do -
A P.J. party, 6 - 9.
The first bed occupied tonight, though,
Surely will be mine!
