Notes About The Poem

Happy Women's day to all soupers.. never let anyone dim your flame of resilience...

burgundy bliss

i g n o r a n c e~
is a rhyme without soul
an art of f a d i n g into oblivion...
like crestfallen tulips
twirling through tethered rays
in the midst of seething sighs...
and I am more than the
blazing thorn
of a phoenix rose moon,
 infused in scarlet elixirs
 of a sorcerous twilight,
weaving l o v e
         in golden glows
amidst double-flamed scales
burning my velvety h e a r t...
    pondering, would you
be the galactic gardener
that waters
   my weathered spirit
when I am but
 a mere memento~
 tangled in
         vindictive vines of vanity,
for I have a voice
        I sing in garnet grace...

if tomorrow
you feel my heartbeat
between vintage verses
of a scentless sonnet
long forgotten, and e r a s e d
remember,
I am the silk and sage
     and the untamable
 silhouette
             of a balmy blossom
that refuses to breathe
 in the ossuary
         of perished petals,
               and wrinkled dreams,
ostracized by
          chauvinistic thistles
                     and unpolished ink
  pricking the soft stems
      facing cyclones of greed
c i r c l i n g
           in sheer arrogance....

tonight I trace the hyacinth heat
of unwavering zest,
         drawing sanguine
smoke of love
            with winged gossamer
tied to the redolent roots
        of unblemished skylines
while crocheting
             petrichor promises
unto the backbone of
           a nocturnal garden,
where handmade
wreaths of hope and faith
feel softer than lunar light~
 as this heart resembles
       a maternal bouquet
                         of burgundy b l i s s ...
a woman who heeds not
                     misogynistic mantras ...

Your poetic call cries out like a wolf in the forest, all can hear few can see. I believe love is the gardener who waters your soul as you stand tall against the darkness that haunts weak men's fears, dear poet...Frederic

Most people are real, beneath the surface costume, but getting beneath is difficult. I like to think that most people are good, but, as I am reminded often, easy to be a brother to your brothers, until you have to work with them. Genuine hearts, like yours, exposed are a treasure to behold. A beautiful write that I am certain will inspire many to be brave and truthful about their feelings. Truth, of course, regulated by compassion is everything in my opinion.

IE, wow...what a wonderful tribute and statement of strength to inspire all women. While really soft, feminine, and sweet; it speaks wonders to the strength and value of women everywhere. Truly there is power in carefully building a world free of arrogance and misogyny. You state this so well....makes good men thankful we can share this world.

Your poem embodies the fantastic power of imagery, emotion and depth of thought. Personally I always felt no one should maltreat a woman. Such behaviour disgusts me. Always in the light.

Dearest Inky, Wow, this poem is absolutely breathtaking—so rich in imagery, depth, and emotion. It feels like a dance between strength and vulnerability, between resilience and longing. Your words bloom like untamed poetry, refusing to wither under the weight of arrogance and oppression. There's something powerful in the way you weave nature, celestial elements, and emotions together—it’s as if the soul of the poem is both fire and flower, delicate yet fierce. I love how it speaks to identity, resistance, and self-worth. The “silk and sage” line especially stood out—it feels like an anthem of quiet defiance, a reminder that beauty and strength are intertwined. And that last line? A perfect crescendo. This isn't just a poem; it's a statement. A spirit unbroken. A heartbeat within forgotten verses. And that, in itself, is something unforgettable. Love and light and a fave of course.

Yes maybe it is in some environments some dont find the need to celebrate women or appreciate us, but belittle us in any form is what they know how to do or are taught to do. Thank you for your kind wishes and comments

Celebrating YOU, encouraging woman to stay strong, I can hear this as lyrics of an all-women's metal band ballad sung by the lead vixen! "wreaths of hope and faith feel softer than lunar light~ as this heart resembles a maternal bouquet of burgundy b l i s s" Strong yet gentle, not every poetess has the cleverness to write about such things with grace, class and elegance. Such a pleasure to read you. Mesmerizing thoughts to be celebrated indeed, Cheers to Woman's Day! ~ Anaya

Dear anaya, thank you for your kindness from the very start, you are very generous, sweet snd supportive, i just dont find anything funny about misogynistic speech and disrespectful views, the ones that need help and healing are the ones that cant control their tongue, spread false rumors and hate, and i do not wish to be in anyplace where such outrageous behavior is normalized and celebrated. I do appreciate the fave as its coming from a strong person like you that would see beyond.. and is one of the few women that stands firm , as a voice for many silenced, i am no feminist , i am just against extremism , ignorance, in any form and prejudice, appreciate you so much
