Valsa, Yes, they are strong and aggressive. I have seen them chasing a snake across the front yard. I don't know what they would do if they caught it. I am sure it was after their eggs or baby birds and they were chasing it away. Sara

James, only for the bird. LOL..One of those stink beetles was in my house the other day. I caught him/her with a paper towel and threw it out. Through that paper towel my hand smelled horrible. It took several washings with lots of hand soap to get rid of that awful scent. Thanks for the visit with congrats. I appreciate the time spent here. Sara

I could picture this very clearly - lovely haiku. I keep meaning to ask if you've seen the 'new' brightly coloured spiders they say are in Georgia now (harmless to humans, thank heavens)

Jack, I read an article about them here recently, but they are not in our area yet, so they say. I hope they find this area not to their liking. They should stand out because they are so colorful and would be easy to knock down the web and kill the spider to try to slow them down. Sara
