Brown Eyes
Dirt and clay
Umber to warm red
A large array
A nightly dessert spread
A wild intense flame
Bright and bold
Sparks light, left untamed
A warmth through the sandy cold
A gentle flicker
Into the light
Something deep and thicker
Than the dark night
Comfort in the dirt and clay
Familiarity in their own way
