Dirt and clay Umber to warm red A large array A nightly dessert spread A wild intense flame Bright and bold Sparks light, left untamed A warmth through the sandy cold A gentle flicker Into the light Something deep and thicker Than the dark night Comfort in the dirt and clay Familiarity in their own way
