Broken Heart

It’s sad that, sometimes, when love happens It happens to one and not two One falls madly into the joyful passion While the other is merely amused When this happens, hearts are broken Though they will likely heal It’s no stretch of the imagination to say Love like this just feels so real But, whatever the reason or why that cries Out to the hurting heart who is betrayed There is a tenderness of gentle thoughts That make the pain finally go away It’s sad that love can’t always be filled With truth between two who adore But sometimes it is a simple outpouring From one heart giving and another taking When this happens, there is no reason to fear The loss will be so desperate and tearful Yet the loser will know that it was all for the best Because it wasn’t someone of God’s choosing Whatever happens and whatever comes Love that isn’t felt from both lovers is a sin That amends by being caught up within By pain, despair and grief that comes to them It’s sad that love isn’t always between two Who love without conditions, love that is true But sometimes one person isn’t who they pretend And this brings the love relationship to an end
