Broken Heart, Broken Bones
Bruised face, blackened eyes.
Many broken ribs.
Nights in the ER.
He makes promises
that he'll do better.
She believes him.
Never gives up,
hopes he will change.
She pushes through.
Broken heart,
broken bones.
She endures.
