Broken Angels

Sometimes, a broken angel still has wings Though stilled by tears for oh, so many things He may not feel like flying He may not know he can He may feel like a puppet without strings He doesn’t know the message that he brings A bell can’t always listen when it rings And he may feel like dying When hope’s around the bend Cause, he can’t hear the music when he sings For though the world’s not perfect Broken angels are If they could only feel what others see If faith can move a mountain Love can heal a scar With pain and suffering to be set free Sometimes, a broken angel still has wings Yet crippled by his fear, how much it stings If not for all his crying He’d soar through to the end May he find peace through love from which it springs
