Broken
With a resounding response, passion crept in,
The first night he touched her fair white skin,
Declaring she is the woman he needs and wants.

A promise they would declare, love with deep vow.
Forever they would both be united now.

For such a pair, their indulgence did not cease.
Their love grew stronger and seemed to increase.
There was nothing that they did not share.

As time when by, they talked about a family,
This was a subject on which they didn’t agree.
Him wanting to stay just two, made her cry.

She believed a baby would make them complete.
He insisted he did not want the patter of tiny feet.
Their promise was broken she felt deceived.

She was broken hearted, he whispered “sorry” as he departed.
