Swap Quatrain 23rd August 2023 ~Fiction~
With a resounding response, passion crept in,
The first night he touched her fair white skin,
Declaring she is the woman he needs and wants.
Passion crept in with a resounding response.
A promise they would declare, love with deep vow.
Forever they would both be united now.
A promise they made forever they would care.
Love with deep vow, a promise they would declare.
For such a pair, their indulgence did not cease.
Their love grew stronger and seemed to increase.
There was nothing that they did not share.
Their indulgence did not cease for such a pair.
As time when by, they talked about a family,
This was a subject on which they didn’t agree.
Him wanting to stay just two, made her cry.
They talked about a family, as time went by.
She believed a baby would make them complete.
He insisted he did not want the patter of tiny feet.
Their promise was broken she felt deceived.
A baby would make them complete, she believed.
She was broken hearted, he whispered “sorry” as he departed.
