Bring Me To Life

You’ve been away for far far too long Perhaps your muse she sang a sad song Or maybe she was on a beach holiday I know our fickle muses just love to play Now you’re back with us sweet Aiyah I hope your muse is filled with desire Your poetry fans you’ll be delighting When you post your amazing writing Aiyah my dear, there’s one thing to remember You were given a gift, you’re a lifetime member Just dip into soup when the time’s right for you It’s not easy to write if life issues peep through I just wanted to say welcome back to soup I’m happy you’re back in our poetry group Bring Me Back to Life Contest Sponsored by Aiyah de Torres 4/11/18

Life does have a way of interrupting our muses, but many writers return after long absences. I'm sure Aiyah will love this poem. Best wishes in her contest, Jan!

Thanks Carolyn, there are some poets who disappear without a trace and never respond to soup mails and we never find out why they leave soup. I'm so glad Aiyah is back with us again:-) hugs Jan xx

I'd commented on Aiyah's last poem and am so glad she finally came back to soup, some people disappear and we never know what happened to them, i do try and soupmail if I see someone isn't around for a while:-) hugs jan xx
