My love, your eyes reflect the stars in radiant array; those eyes that glimmer like the moon and make my night like day. But when those eyes reflect the sun, it may be time you learned to put on your sunglasses, dear, my headache has returned. written 8 Jan 2020

Sounds a bit like Ogden Nash or the little-known Samuel Hoffenstein ('You buy some flowers for your table' -- It's a 4-line clever little ditty that you can check out online). Cute!! ~ gw

Thanks for the tip on Sam, and for the honor of the comparison with him and Ogden Nash. Appreciate the thumbs up ~ All Thumbs

Hi John, such a loving cute humorous poem. You always make a few words sound like a story book, that is what a talented poet does. Hugs and Blessings, Jennifer

You are so kind to consider me a talented poet, Jennifer. Being around so many talented poets here at Soup can be both inspiring and intimidating! You are one of them, my friend. May blessings flow ~ John

Ive not seen mum for a week, she is very well looked after, I knew the virus was back on the Island so stocked up on toiletries and took them over the day before the home went into lockdown. I predict it will be months rather than the 3 weeks before we can see eachother again but so be it. stay safe my friend and thanks for your support:-) hugs jan xx

I wondered if your little island was going to be locked down again. Sorry to hear. At least you have a positive attitude about it. How is your Mum doing? Hugs ~ John
