Brave New World

Some say
The heart's too tender,
Therefore easily bruised
And long to heal – because
The heart has tendency to
Overly feel…

Some say human love’s too fragile;
Too easy to chip and ruse -- take
For granted, and selfishly abuse --

Say welcome to The Metallic Age!
Electronic Brains and alloy skin --

Conscious soul no longer needed
With an App your day will begin –

No need for spirit correction, robots
Will bear all sin. AI this and AI that,
AI dog and AI cat – an AI baseball
An AI bat – instead of change the baby
Keep him or her cool and dust free --
If a mistake made, the AI’s will calmly
disagree…. Right. Good luck with that.

Hard to believe this poem had to be written and is a must-read for the woe-begone generations lining up behind us... Keep telling the truth, Joe.

Thank you, Gershon; rational voices needed in this crazy world. We have not outlived our usefulness yet. Blessings my friend.

It might well be the most nuanced nuisance Joe Dimino...Or worse and Yet humanity it seems.? Allways courts Some curse.)

Humanity does seem to do so, Joe; curses, evil are closer to our assumed nature -- easier to relate to. After all, we choose the life of decent -- not something God wanted for us, but it was no surprise to his calculations. It will all work out perfectly in time.

AI is froth with dangers; but we need to get out in front of the technology if to know how to protect ourselves. I pity the next generation.

We live in a changed world of technology. All the tasks earlier done by human brain are taken over by robots and AI generated techniques. Unfortunately genuineness is lost. A great reflective poem, dear Joe.

Thank you, Valsa; just what humanity needs...to become more physically and mentally lazy. I do not see an upside. If common populations are to realize any living benefits, develop less violent and more moral societies, history has shown us that science is not the answer. AI Love...what will that be like. AI God...not so far fetched, sanctioned by the state.

Such a philosophical and introspective write that gives me an idea of how wise you are as a person and also a poet dear Joe! Youv written very well. And unfortunately AI is taking over and the few real authentic souls left, are the ones i consider worthy of accolades and attention , like you! Im so glad poets like you exist. Pleasure reading you today. Sending you light always

what a commentary! Sad to think that we're headed to a world where conscious souls are no longer needed
