Interesting proposition here, Seeker. Some would contend that 'The Fear of Heaven is the Beginning of Wisdom.' ... I guess it all comes down to 'what kind of fear' it is...

God is full of love. Fear mirrors desire, both rooted in attachment to body-mind, driven by ego. This is ignorance. Once ignorance is removed by seeing or feeling truth directly (minus beliefs and concepts), ego recedes and we recognise our true being, which is eternal living light, which is what is made in God’s image as scriptures say, not this decaying organic form of dust. We are he who we seek. Unless we do not know our true Self, how can we know God? All we do here is visualise God as a concept. Hence a plethora of belief systems, whereas the truth is one.

Many times we fight an enemy we can't see. This is a powerful poem.

Thank you, Hilda, as you have rightly observed, the hidden enemy is ego within
