Contestants - Poofread your Andaree
Blog Posted:4/29/2024 12:14:00 AM
I finally looked at the submissions to my Andaree contest. About 8 or 10 poems have not followed all the rules. These are the rules not followed: middle word must also appear in the title/ last line needs to be a repeat of line 1/ some rhymes and syllables are off. Near rhymes don't count/ grammar is important. Sometimes I see an adjective used as a noun or some other weird phrasings. I hope to finish up my contest in the morning during the time of my husband's colonoscopy. I will probably be at the hospital with an hour to finish up. I need to be strict on my Andaree form's rules, so if they are not followed, I will have to give N/A. One or two grammar or punctuation mistake won't get you an N/A, but you won't score as high. I love poetry that is beautiful or that states something profound in a lucid way. Well, that's all. Hope you catch my blog if you are someone whose poem needs revision. Quote by Andrea Dietrich
The silent moon veiled in seamless web darkness.
Bejeweled in radiance starkness,
Youthful valiant Prince Harkness.
Lost in hush briefness.
Charming, brave.
Fierce.
His, a fave.
Diligence, briskness
Each breath struck by its broadness.
Shadow soldiers walk with such braveness.
The silent moon veiled in seamless web darkness.
