Boundless Voyage

From whispered breath to ink upon the page, A fragile seed in time's vast pilgrimage, Pen's travel, a winding, ancient trail, Where heart and mind, in woven stories sail. First, spoken words, on tongues of fire bright, Passed down through ages in the fading light, A bard's lone voice, a rhythm in the air, A tapestry of tales, beyond compare. Then, written script, on parchment, scroll, and stone, Preserved the verses, seeds divinely sown, From gilded texts in libraries so grand, To humble leaflets held in calloused hand. The printing press, a revolution's roar, Brought words to masses on each distant shore, No longer bound by noble, learned few, But open pages for the world to view. Through changing tides, and storms that raged and tossed, Simile's spirit never truly lost, From sonnets penned in candlelight's soft glow, To modern verses where raw emotions flow. Now digital screens illuminate the rhyme, A global chorus, transcending space and time, From fleeting tweets to blogs that freely roam, Stanza's ship is always finding home. And still, it breathes in hearts that yearn and seek, A timeless metaphor that the soul can speak, A constant voyage on an endless sea, Poetry's journey, forever meant to be. ©bfa031425
