Bougainvillea
Mom says
Vases don't look nice empty
So,I picked yesterday
Bougainvillea bloom from our parking lot
Rather than rosebuds
For it preaches lessons of endurance
Spreading spring in parched summers
Or in march springs
Rich economies of it's presence
Discreet by ignorance of cared reaping
It's papery petals hides magic inside
A delicate bloom of pristine white
From it's stoic woody stalks
Shoots off new green branches on all sides
Hurling foibles of never say die
With gentle breeze blossoms glide to and fro
A plant blessed with eternal spring
