Notes About The Poem

Visiting Carlsbad Caverns, one feature was the bottomless pit, not truly bottomless, but led to the thoughts of this poem.

Bottomless

Pondering the bottomless pit?
Why not reflect on the goodness of God?
The depths of His love - His bottomless grace;
with eagle’s wings, we rise,
exploding into His neverending paradise.

In contrast, the bottomless pit
of shame,
selfishness,
madness,
leaves no room
for goodness.

Kim, great sentiment. Yes, keep our eyes on the positive, the constructive, the Divine! God is good. Moon Harp

Wow!! That would have been a very interesting experience. We went to Texas when I was in my teens and we were offered a chance to go there, but we had to get back home to Georgia because only had 5 days off from work and duty calls. Sara K.

So true…why, we ask do people make the choice that leads to death.

Brilliant truth! As long as one holds onto the guilt, the thought of who offended, then we are yet spiritually linked to negative expression.
