Both Sides of the Barrel
BOTH SIDES OF THE BARREL
Black and white petitions here
And man’s redemption from his fear
And his right and wrong hemisphere -
I’ve looked for reasons, too
But all I find are questions, sir -
The pain and hurt without a cure,
A trying place, where all lines blur -
I don’t know where to turn.
Chorus:
(All this killing has got to end,
From both sides of the barrel, friend.
All our colors need to blend.
It’s time to stop and heal our lives.)
Our lives matter to us all,
So stand up for the big and small,
And together, we will not fall -
We need some answers true.
Will we ever see eye to eye -
Get it right, so no one will die,
Embrace love – tell hate goodbye?
It’s up to me and you.
Chorus:
(All this killing has got to end
From both sides of the barrel, friend.
All our colors need to blend.
It’s time to stop and heal our lives)
